Here is the new 32 5 window coupe unveiled last weekend at the Bilsport Car Show in Europe. It looks veerrrry nice.:cool:

That's really cool but why would they make a five window instead of a three window? Just my opinion but I would think that a three window body style would have more appeal to the market... Vic

Brookville is already making the three window coupe. Personally if I had my choice between an original of each I would take the 5 window.

My buddy has looked into becoming a dealer. But it's not as straightforward as the Brookville offering. The way he explained it, the cars get shipped in panel form to the dealer in the US of A in a container, and it is up to the dealer to do the assembly. Yeah, some assembly required! The dealer has to do the welding and fitting. The website suggests 80 hours to fit and finish. My friend showed me the jigs and forms required to put the body together. Holy smokes.

Dunno if I'd want to pony up $$$ on the first ones when the dealers were learning how to do the assembly.

I have some questions in my own mind about how successful this venture will be, but I certainly wish them the best of luck. I'd love to have a 5-window, and to have it in new steel would be okey-dokey.

What the cost of this? What would be the total cost to build as a stock 32 Ford as Henry built.$$$$

Judging from the photos, they chose the early firewall to reproduce which seems to be an odd choice given Ford's reason for changing it in '32 (insufficient toe clearance when depressiing the clutch pedal).

There had been a company in California working on a 5-window duplicate, but these fellows beat them to market and there probably isn't room for both.

No doubt someone will do a side-by-side comparison with the Brookville 3-window in terms of construction, etc. While completely understandable from a business point of view, Brookville's decision to pass on reproducing the original 3-window floor will stand out in such a comparison, although I doubt that their use of their roadster floor matters to 98% of their customers.

From a driving perspective, the 5-window is a safer choice because of the 3-window's horrific blind quarters. JMO

You have read the book "How To Make Friends and Influence People" right?

You might also consider reading some other books, particularly on the value to be had in early childhood of reading, comprehension and spelling.

A book on manners might also do you some good, although sometimes the best efforts of writers, editors and publishers are in vain.

Thanks for pointing out the misspelled word..just typing to fast which must have been the same thing that happened to you when posting information about a 32 reproduction body! We all make mistakes so next time please post on the correct site

1928 jalopy, Please lighten up. I usually don't bother to comment about all the bickering that is posted on the Ford Barn about reproduction parts and original versus somewhat modified cars and trucks, but I've finally had enough. You're cars must not have any reproduction parts and are therefore 100 percent original.

Tires, tubes, belts, spark plugs, plug wires, points, condenser, cap, rotor, carb rebuild kit, fuel pump rebuild kit, water pump rebuilt kit, engine overhaul kit, upholstery, paint, glass, rubber parts, wiring harness, brake parts, trim parts, interior and exterior door handles, bumpers, sheet metal parts, repair panels, etc., etc.?

If it wasn't for all the folks, producing non-original Ford parts to restore or to keep them operational, our cars and trucks would be sitting in the garage looking pretty sad. Please keep in mind that Fe26's 1932 5 Window body really is just another reproduction/replacement part.

There, I feel better now, so I will go back to enjoying the Ford Barn!

Steve, It was Fe26 that hit on jalopy for his question about a Y block that started the ruckus. Jalopy has been the little gentleman throughout while Fe26 cops the attitude. Fe26, report to the Principal's Office.

Yeah, What's the price after adding the rest of he parts inside the body--moldings, dash, seat, window reg's door latches, wood, package shelf etc, etc. Sure will be nice to be able to maybe buy quarter panels etc to save some gennie old bodies too. Sir Duce
