I use this 35 Pickup to deliver Meals on Wheels. Its works great and the fokes look forward for me to stop at there house. Sometimes I change off and drive a Model T pickup. It makes the job a lot of fun.

My father bought this one back in the late fifties. It's the first vehicle I ever drove - at age 11! I still enjoy it as much as ever. It's been maintained/painted over the years, but never restored.

Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. I would have loved to have seen more 38 39 PUs. I guess they are the least popular.
|
Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. Years ago when I had a real nice 1938 P\U I hated the look of it, so I kept the whole running gear & frame that were near mint, and put a 36' big truck cab on it and sold the 38' body. Now I wish I had it back, that 38'-39' look grows on you! The guy that bought the body slapped it on a late model Ford Ranger chassie, and was on the road in 2 weeks.

Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. [QUOTE=Vic Piano;148926]Thanks, I appreciate that. Here are a few more photos of the '51 F-1.
Nice! I thought I liked it before. It's even better now after seeing the engine photo. '51 Ford pickups are my favorite old trucks. Yours is dead on perfect! |
Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. I can't believe it but I almost forgot about Ole' Yeller!! My '52 F-600. He has an original, all steel, Herculese dump bed and the flatty runs like a sewing machine!! I use it almost everyday.

I've posted it before but it's still the best photo I have of my two early Fords. '25 Model T Roadster Pickup and '39 V8 Pickup.
Until the '39 is running, the '25 will continue hauling the concrete and lumber. |
Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. A 1941 Ford fire truck used a Hunter Field during World War II has a new home at the Mighty Eighth museum in Pooler. It has been restored to its World War II condition and will take its place next to the museum's B-17.

This is a picture of my high school hot rod from 1962. The shiny picture is how it looks today. The sad part for me is, I haven't owned it since 1973.

Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them. av8paul that old photo is incredible. It almost looks as if you magically recorded something from a dream. Talk about patina!

Here are pictures of my 28 roadster pickup towing a 34 pickup my friend had purchased in 1983. I still have the roadster pickup, the 34 pickup has been gone for years.
The 33 one ton I have had for about 11 years. It's never been restored, has had one repaint and I use it as a work truck. One picture is hauling my 34 4-door sedan and the other is taking down an old blacksmiths shop framed with Model T and Model A frame rails The 50 pickup my dad bought new. I took my driving test in it in 1966. Have completly rebuilt it with a 283, automatic transmission, 9" rear-end, and a dropped axel. I drove it to work everyday for several years. |
