Removing 1937 Tudor glass

I searched around in my books and on the net for the removal procedure for the door glass and the rear side glass for my 37 Tudor. On one door it looks like someone got frustrated at some point in time and cut the door, replaced the glass, and stitched it back together with a welder.

Can anyone point me to a thread or link? I see some 1940 instructions but the description of the regulator doesn't seem to match.

Thanks
-Don

I have tudor that was done the same way. The glsss will come out but with great difficulty. To my knowledge, the hard channel (verticle) on the door end of the rear glass is not being made repop. I finally found an original to use as a pattern to make mine. Hopefully someone will pop up here with a easy way to do this.

Re: Removing 1937 Tudor glass

Hi Don, I went through this a few weeks ago with my '38 club coupe which has doors like a 2-door. There might be several ways to do it, but I disconnected the window from the regulator, rolled the window up and tied it, and removed the regulator. Then I carefully lowered the window to the bottom of the door and removed toward the inside of the car from under the diagonal brace. There is a peg that the regulator uses to pull the window back while lowering that prevents the window from being removed from the opening. If you can get the peg out, it might come out the top opening. Good luck.

I did my 37 door and quarter glass. This may help it's from the service bulletins, not a good scan but it may help.

Bobv, please advise the SB date and title. I have SB 32-48 and do not remember seeing that one.

I have 1932-1937 Complete 1977 edition. It is an earlier (1934?) bulletin but it got me through it.
This may be a better scan.
