aftermarket oil filter kit so after having the pan off for the first time ever, and seeing all the crap in the bottom, I'm thinking about adding one of those oil filter kits my question is, are they kinda all the same? some better than others??

Re: aftermarket oil filter kit I have used the filter that screws on to the valve cover on 3 of my cars but I have a spare engine on a stand on which the filter is mounhted non a bracket beside the motor. Oil is taken from the side of the block just above the oil pump and returned to the timing gear cover. Not sure I like that one as much and I don't know what filter should be on it. For simplicity, it would be good if I were able to use the same one as the others. (Z9)
