Thinking about getting A front sway bar for my 53 f-100, truck is completely stock , sway bar from mid fifty,one inch dia.

It can't hurt, but make sure all is good on the front end)spring bushings, king pins, steering linkage, etc.)

I couldn't find a '53 stock front end photo but it appears to be a king pin design like the 48-52's.

A 1" front bar if designed decently should be ok. It won't give you quite enough roll stiffness but it will be far better than stock.
I did a custom 1 1/8" bar on my '48. Big difference. (The math worked out in such a way that 1" was too thin and 1 1/4" too thick)

Naw. I don't like slowing down to 3 mph for the majority of the 90-degree turns on city streets.....
