rear pan seal.

Hi everybody. I have another question for you. I'm finishing up freshening my flathead and I'm curious to know what you might suggest for the rear pan gasket. When I originaly pulled then the gasket was in pieces. Brittle and in several pieces. I have no problem with cork, and will use it again, but if there is a better material, I would rather use it instead. Just wanting to be neat and clean you understand:) Thanks for your input, Pat

P.S. The engine is a 221 and has had sleeves removed and bored 40 over.
I put some reds headers, Isky 400 cam and lifters, Isky heads and
3x2 Intake. It's coming along fine, I just don't care for that rear
gasket arrangement.
