Great, I have a 34 B motor that has just came back from the rebuilders, but at the moment does not have a body yet!

I have a diamond block (no cracks?) block, a recently ground, drilled & balanced crank, new inserted rods from Eubanks and trying to figure out what to do next. Have'nt worked out the thrust yet, interested in what others have done.

Terrific idea. I have a C model 34 ute.
Years ago there used to be a B model forum on one of the Yahoo Groups.
Always interested in Canadian A's, B's and C's.

You might call Bert's in Denver. I got one of mine there.

Don't get me wrong, I did read every post, but is not the reason for the disscussion group to move the specific dissussion there?

Count me in, there is a B in Dad's old 1931 Roadster with a Cyclone head. Are Overhead Valve heads part of this group as well? Bob

Yes, Ted did it for me. It might be a while before I get it up and running, but everything looks great, and as promised with no surprises. Great person to deal with, and kept me updated every step of the way! What a great setup he's got at his new place in Beamsville.

OK, I went there, clicked subscribe, bookmarked the page. Hopefully the group moderator (Vince) will grant admission to a "brother under the pelt." Hey, I like that admissions idea. We all new of a few jerks on the old F-barn, now there's a way to cull the herd?

Anyway, I've got three B engines, all are unfinished works in progress, like just about everything I have. One is a freshly machined .100 over block that I got years ago from Flanegan in Arizona. Remember his "Miracle" engines? It's a miracle that a posse with a rope didn't get to him before he disappeared. Fortunately, the machining dimensions on mine check out, and it is a 'miracle' that he didn't take a shave off the pan rail plane like he did on so many A blocks. I'm waiting to see Rich Falluca's (Antique Engine Rebuilding, Skokie IL) new forged B rods, due this summer.

Engine #2 is a very clean complete diamond block non-counterweighted runner with a knock (babbitt?/ haven't looked yet). I whacked it into the wall last week pushing it on a furniture dolly and busted the original front pulley. Maybe that was a good thing? Still pissed.

#3 is probably a boat-anchor. I don't know, the deck is badly pitted and the pistons are all stuck. For $100 I couldn't say no. Parts donor, maybe.

One will get a Yapp/Riley I have sitting in the box, The other will get one of the two Brumfield "Super" heads (blueprinted, polished 117cc) I had Larry make for me several years ago.

I have a small collection of B engine parts; rods, cranks, pans, dizzy's. Probably all junk, we'll see.

Thanks Vince! I subscribed but am not sure it went through to count me in. I have a B in my '29 Fordor, counter balanced, cross drilled for Dan Price's full oil pressure, pistons measuring .043 with four oil rings, an original Cyclone HC head, V-8 clutch, FS ignition, 3.54 gears and looking to improve some more (B intake with B carb).

My speedster project is a B, counter balanced, cross drilled for Dan Price's full oil pressure, one of Dan Price's last Thomas HC heads, headers, V-8 clutch, FS ignition, V-8 Trans (in the works) with 2 International truck hood body, '29 honey comb radiator, +. It has an Isky cam #590, .390 lift [email protected] duration and I know nothing about how it will perform. Can anyone clue me in on it?

Thanks! Tom Sieffert

Re: 1932-34 Model B Four Cylinder Group started!

Tom...That's close to an ISKY 400 Jr. It's going to be lope, mid & top end cam, good in a LITE car, run large diameter lifters, B's or larger. Dudley

Re: 1932-34 Model B Four Cylinder Group started!

@Dudley,

Thanks! I got it all buttoned up but it has adjustable Chrysler tappets, big 1.680 intake valves, 1.580 exhaust, new springs, bronze guides and steel retainers with intake ports opened up to 1.625 and aluminum cam gear. It will be going in a boattail speedster (no fenders, Model T runabout running boards, no doors, minimal windshield glass, two bucket seats, only top hood section) - should be light enough! I want it to 'shake' at idle!

Thanks! Tom

Wow, what fun! I run a B in my '31 and enjoy the extra HP. I am needing a new intake if anyone has an extra. Mine has been welded a few too many times by someone.
