160-B top wood I have a slant window 4-door with all the top wood in need of replacement. Can all of the wood be replaced with the cowl/firewall section attached to the rest of the body, or does it need to be cut and removed?
I restored a straight window fordor, including all the wood, and am wondering how similar that process is. Thank you all! |
Re: 160-B top wood By looking at mine I would say yes.
I don't see the need to remove anything other than. the wood. I am by no means an expert in this field and would defer any advice to more knowledgeable members |
Re: 160-B top wood We replaced the front header in my nephew's slant window with everything still attached. Although tight tolerances, I don't think that it would be necessary to dismantle the cowl section from the main body. Good luck with your project.

Re: 160-B top wood The front header cover is tack welded
You have to take the cover off to get a header in and out |
