Nice job. I am sure it will prove to be well worth the effort and expense.
Thanks for the update.

Nice job. I did something similar, but not nearly as tidy. I bet it will be quieter and more comfortable.

Good Job!!

I just recently insulated the floor and doors in my Town Sedan. Since my car was "put together" I couldn't cover everything as you did. One of these days if I ever have the back seat backrest out I would like to insulate the rear of the body.

I think insulating the doors and cowl area gave me the biggest change. It really makes the car sound solid, especially when closing the doors.

To Brent in 10-uh-C,

I have only started on the top. I have the cushion material and the vinyl material just laid out on the top to get the vinyl to "relax". I am going to work on the top this summer.
Thanks,

Thanks,

I have insulated the roof section of several Sedans and have found this is huge at keeping temps at bay.

Nice job. If you are interested in temp control as well as noise, I found that the stainless muffler shield really helped.

John, that is good to know.

I used DynaMat for sound, then insulation for heat and finally carpet. Very comfortable in my Town Sedan. (Sorry, I like pictures... :p:p)

Brent, what method did you use to insulate the roof section?
