‘35 gas pedal rod?

On a ‘35 is there supposed to be a grommet or bushing around the gas pedal throttle rod where it goes thru the floor, see red circled in pic. Pic is of a wood floor board mine is metal with same hole I’m speaking of.

I have seen a 2"x2" felt square with a hole punched in the center stapled to the top side of the wooden toeboard. Not sure if that's stock.

Maybe a bellows-type rubber piece, like a shifter boot would be correct. I know the 51-52 F1's had something like that.

I dont know if its correct but it works , use a master cyl rubber boot . The truck ones are what I use

Model A’s send a leather type of material for this. You can find them in the A parts catalogs. I can’t imagine 35’s were much different.

Thx all! I was not that concerned with originality, just thought if easy to order one I would & couldn't find anything listed for the ‘35. I have some 1/8” thick leather I’ll cut & fit a piece.
