'38 Trunk / Deck Lid Handle Repair
 

Have any of you peeled the stainless steel skin off the steel base to fix dents and deep scratches? How difficult is it to do? Are there any tricks?

Also, on most of the ones you see the blue paint on the key cover is worn away. Is there a paint that holds up better?
