Anything on the threads? Putting a brass threaded fitting into aluminum intake manifold? Should I use Teflon tape or anything else?

Re: Anything on the threads? I use anti-seize compound for brass fittings into aluminum. Been doing that for 60 years without issues. If the fitting is a gauge sender, the Teflon tape might insulate it and it may not function. Others may have different experiences......

Re: Anything on the threads? Best thing I've found is a teflon based pipe dope... Teflon tape can cause problems is used incorrectly. And you won't need much of whatever you choose to use.

Re: Anything on the threads? tape is acceptable but the paste is the preferred sealant lubes the thread stops galling and thread binding [protects the thread] and allows the threads to seal at a much lower torque [win win win ]
