Roadster Deluxe or Standard ?
 

I just bought a 31 roadster project that is essentially a shell on a rolling chassis.How do I tell if it is a Deluxe or a Standard model?

Do you have the windshield, top bows or stanchions?

Have stanchions ,nothing else

Wrong ! I have the windshield ,needs the stanchions.

If it never had cowl lights, it is a Standard.

If it had cowl lights, it MAY be a Deluxe.

The standard windshield frame is painted black while the DeLuxe frame is chrome. The DeLuxe windshield is also about 1-1/2 " shorter but I don't know either dimension offhand

deluxe around 13 and standard around 15"

Yep, windshield height , STD is 15", DLX is 13"

Must be a Deluxe. Has holes for the cowl lights and the windshield frame was chrome and is 13 3/4 tall.Thanks to all

My standard 31 roadster has no holes for cowl lights and never has .The standard roadster had different top irons that were more like some 28-29 cars . The standard windshield and stanchions
are taller than deluxe .
