Early Ford V-8 Club of America I haven't seen an edition of the V8 Times for months. Anyone received one lately ? I was wondering if I fell off the list or the plague has disrupted the process.

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America The magazine is still coming out. Give cornerstone registration ( (763) 420-7829 ) a call to see if they still have your membership Listed as one that should receive the magazine. I’m pretty sure they can help straighten it out.

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America The September-October issue is at the printers on schedule.

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America Just received my JULY-AUGUST issue a week ago to Australia. Delivery since the covid19 has been rather slow. But in the past several years delivery has been slower that it was some years ago even though we pay for Priority Air mail which is quite expensive these days. Got to the point where international membership is hardly worth the expense considering the magazine is our only club contact. I usually pay for 3 years membership to save a little. Our cost is at least twice the amount that USA members pay. I have been a member since 1971. Have to renew in November so need to decide soon. Regards, Kevin.

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America When I belonged years ago, sometimes my copies were spotty showing up. I think the mail man was keeping them. I rec'd most issues.
Not as bad as Old Cars Weekly. I liked that weekly paper but delivery was horrible. I averaged one every three weeks at best. I called the office and they assured me they had been sent which I do believe they were. Must have been getting caught in the automated mail separator. |
Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America Given the GOP drive to slow mail, it is small wonder we get anything on time. I have one piece that took 62 days to arrive! Junking the high volume sorting machines is a likely culprit, as are the new staff rules. Those of us who live outside the city on RFD routes seem to be at the bottom of the line.

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America Have to agree guys the postage is not like what it used to be.
I recently received a package from Canada to New Zealand that had a birthday before I received it. Got sent to NZ twice and returned to canada twice before I received it on the 3rd trip. A year and 1 day it took. |

Re: Early Ford V-8 Club of America Kube, there's still still some value in the binders, but you are correct about back issues. I had a bunch of spares and gave them to a young guy a few blocks away who now owns a 47 tudor sedan. He was happy to get them. Giving them to younger potential members is a good way to help membership.
