What am I missing, choke and throttle rod install

My '40 was missing the choke and throttle rod and assemblies when I got it. Just a hole in the dash where the throttle control goes and an aftermarket choke assembly on the choke side. I have the factory pulls and the rod assemblies. But i'm confused on what all else is needed. I'm guessing there is a rubber bushing or something that goes in the dash hole. But I see two different ones in the parts books. One is just a rubber piece and the other seems to have a rubber piece and a clip. What about connecting the pull to the linkage. Is it just a bolt and nut? Anyone know what size? What about the firewall? The linkage has rubber pieces installed where it passes through the firewall. But should there be a grommet on the firewall hole itself?

Thanks for any help.

For the dash use the rubber grommet with the clip. That grommet is actually a diecast piece with a rubber insert. The firewall takes a round rubber grommet in each hole. The round rods with the flat and slotted ends are connected to the flat ends of the choke and throttle knobs. Those flat ends have threaded holes. As I recall they would take a 10-32 screw and no nut. All the grommets can be purchased from most all V-8 parts suppliers.
