Motor mount upper cushion height question

I have a question on the motor mounts. Is there a difference in height of the upper cushion on different years?
I have a 49 block with the Mercury oil pan and the truck water pumps with wide belt.
Reason for question is I have to weld in the motor mounts to the frame. I have a TCI frame with the custom independent front suspension and it is very close oil pan to cross member on initial measurements. I have not mocked up with block yet just trying to measure twice to eliminate extra work. The measurements I am using are from the wescottsauto drawing.
Also if anyone else has a similar suspension from TCI or a TCI frame any pictures would be nice.

Are your pumps wide belt truck pumps or 49-50 wide belt Merc pumps? There is a difference in mounting height.

Re: Motor mount upper cushion height question

The ones I have are 1949-53 Ford Flathead V8 Engine water pump with wide belt Part # 91015592 from Speedway Motors.

I have a old set of water pumps off a 49 Mercury block that are wide belt and the base of the mount is ~3 1/2" to center line of water outlet. The pumps from Speed way are ~1 1\2 to center line of water outlet. So they are better.

Do your engine mounts look like this?

I have the set up as pictured to weld in. New to this, so does the water pump set on this or does it need the brackets shown in the parts list pictures?

decling: It looks like you will have to put your engine in place on the frame and then "mock up" the position of your motor mounts. You can always add spacers underneath your rubber motor mounts, if needed, but will need a longer bolt.

Can you post a few photos of what you are dealing with?

The pictures show the frame area and one of engine is just on the stand.

I can machine spacers and longer bolts if needed. Just trying to get a feel if I am using mounts correctly and not missing a piece.

Perhaps I am not understanding but, it seems odd that you would have to install that metal steel motor mount in the position where your hand is holding it. Not a lot of strength re: welding in place.
