(GAV) no response

I just rebuilt the zenith and it runs and idles well. I tried to adjust and even closed the gav and nothing changed at all. I do not have a screw in seat for the gav. I am going to check and make sure it is bottoming out and adjust if need be but is there anything else I need to look for? Like I said, it runs great so I don't want cause problems.

running an air cleaner? made sure all passages in body are open? are you sure it doesn't require a seat?

Haven't put a cleaner back on it. It has one but so far I've left it off. There is no screw in seat or jet for the gav, it's milled into carb body.

It's possible I'll have to do some grinding on parts of the gav needle to get it to go deeper. I saw a post of this being done and it seems simple enough

Sounding like a Model B carburetor. The internal threaded GAV bushing is "pressed" in to the body and there was a spring and washer underneath it?

Do you have a link to that post? Mine has a sizeable step in it.

I'll see if I can find it, I may have deleted it. But it'll be in the thread where I was asking for help while rebuilding my carb.

Joe, my carb says zenith 2 on the side.
