Yep, Model A!Looks like the A pillars have been modified, 32 window added, and a cowl vent added.
I've seen this done before, really changes the look of a model A. But if your going through all that trouble, why not find a 32?

I love Arduns (who doesn't) and that looks like a really nicely done car . . . but that air cleaner sticks out and I don't like it one bit. It takes my focus off the Ardun valve covers - which is where it belongs! LOL

The car is called "After Thought," a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe, owners Ted and Colleen Hubbard, South Bend, Nebraska

The color scheme of the car is described as art deco and the fins you see used all over the car were inspired by an exhaust manifold Cal Auto Creations owner Andy Leech spotted over two years ago.

It is an awesome car - can't imagine the cubic dollars spent on it. The owner obviously had an idea/motif to carry throughout the car (the consistent part I understand). So, while I obviously have an opinion - it is not my car and I didn't write the checks!

With all that said - sometimes I can't help myself when I see a concept that just seems to be taken a bit far. Maybe that is just me . . . it is just one man's opinion. When you create a show car (especially one worthy of Ridler competition), you are inviting the world to review, ponder, critique and ultimately judge - that is what you sign up for.

But - my comments aside . . . it is definitely one piece of fine rolling art . . .

Is it just me or does it look like the top of the doors are sitting too low and don't really align with the screen? Looks like the screen is sitting too high or maybe it's the changes to the A pillars that is causing this optical illusion??

Really neat show car but just not what I'm into and I'm glad we don't see too much of it here on the 'Barn. Although I'll be happy to take the Ardun.

I for one do not see how this car is so impressive, really doesn't turn my crank. No doubt the execution is top notch but there is just too much of a jewelry look to it.

its a car built for no other purpose than to be a show car from what I can see. no historical planning of the build just purely an asthetic. it's a modern artistic representation of a historical build IMO.... I can appreciate the time talent and money into it but I'm not into the entire car as much as I should be when you tick off the boxes of what it has...

Thanks Jason in TX for adding the pics and the link. The labor on this coupe is spellbinding. The others are nice, but I'm a coupe lover, early or late.

I wonder, does anyone have a reference to that color's name? Likely a custom blend.
