What an amazing collection of Neon signs and Ford motor vehicles Mr Dingman has collected. This picture is from a previous sale.

Wow, some nice ford signs, really like the big one on the wall. Something I could never afford.

I guess summer flushes the chumps.

Gulp! 1936 Roadster sells for $140,000 including buyer premium. From the catalog "This car is one of several in the collection whose engine was consigned by Mr. Dingman to Roush Performance Products for rebuilding."

And this cutaway engine for $45,600 again "Inclusive of applicable buyer's fee."

The buyers fee on non automobiles was 20%. The fees on cars was 12% up to 250k and then 10%. These auctioneers are out of control.

Re: Dingman Auction

This 49 ford sold for over 100k. Incredible considering what I saw Don Gibson's 51s sell for in Hershey. Maybe I need to stop driving mine. Nah! I figure the value is in the laces it's been. It wil never be the best but I'm shooting for top 10 of most driven.

I was watching some of the Lincoln items in the collection, and even looked into bidding but I'm just too cheap to spend $150 just to be outbid by someone else (and looking at the final sale price on the items I was looking at, I made the correct decision.)

I didnt read any of the auctioneers terms, is your $150 comment mean that its cost $150 to register to bid?

Yep, at least that's how I read it when I got partway through the registration. Really a negligible amount when you consider how much many of the items sold for, but money I could better spend elsewhere.

I went both day's, beautiful collection. Was worth going to just to look at everything. I met the guy who bought the 40" storage box full of old ford stuff. He lives close to me I'm going to go take a look as soon as he gets it to his property. The thing was packed. Might be some good stuff.

Welcome to club riff-raff, we have t-shirts. (Not matching or anything, but good enough to get past that no-shoes no-shirt sign.)

Wow, that 36 was nice, but, for that kind of money, they should have put the right heads on it.

I think that's a picture of a 1940 Ford or later cutaway engine. Look at the transmission attached to it....

Has an electric motor hooked to it to rotate it. Looks more like a 42 to 48 motor by the fan setup

Re: Dingman Auction

With that dist, fan assy, fuel pump and exh. manifold, I would say '47-'48

Are prices listed some place. I'm interested in knowing the price of the 40 Merc convert sedan.
