Using Ford Barn as an distraction

Will be using FB as a distraction the next few weeks. Please understand if I make errors, or posts do not make sense.

Woke up this morning to my door bell ringing, opened the door to 2 Air Force men. They had come to inform me that early this morning my enlisted 23 year old son had died where he is stationed in Texas. No other details.

What a horrible thing to happen to you or anybody. We are not meant to outlive our children. Nothing will quell the pain but time. I pray you will find comfort ahead as you deal with such a horrible thing.

The loss of the child is the hardest. My brother died a young man. Be there for your family it will help as much as them being there for you. Talk about it with the people around you. I found it helped me to explain to all the extended family and his friends. My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow.

So sorry for your loss. That is always my greatest fear in watching loved ones leave, that they may not make it back. Being prior military it is one blessing that we never had a loss of life injury during my tours.

My wife and I lost a son 6 years ago to some whacked out kid that wanted his car. It wasn't even a popular model. It never makes any sense and you don't ever get over it. You just put one foot in front of the other. It's all you can do. Parents should never have to bury a son or daughter no matter what the cause.

My heart goes out to you. It won't be an easy path.

It is not nature's way for a parent to lose a child of any age. My prayers are with you. I lost a 63 year old daughter to COPD a year ago and life is returning to normal.

I'm deeply saddened for your loss. I was an Airman myself. Air Force is family.

I wish you comfort in this time of sorrow.
