Model A Radials
 

Have you seen the Model A radials Coker is doing? So far the ones I have seen are 19” and look just like a Firestone.
They had some at SEMA.
I can’t post pics on here ,maybe some one else can after the Google it.

One was brought in for show and tell at a club meeting last year. Sure looked like a nice well made tire to me. The sidewalls were much better than the junk Good Year Regatta radials I've had on my Oldsmobiles.

Just looked on their website and they now have whitewall radials. If I knew that I might have waited and saved up for a set.

I'd like to see what reports we get back from people who use them. I note they are made by Coker also so there is no competition to bring down the prices The fact that they are cheaper suggests to me that they are of poorer quality than the others and we know their 5.00 X 19s aren't all that flash..

The 550's are excellent!
Absolutely no regrets.
The Coker sales techs I dealt with were great.

Thanks for the pics Jason... those are fine looking tires.

I don't see radial tubes at Bratton's, should they be used with these tires or are the regulars OK?

I believe the tyres which are the subject of this thread are 4.75 X 19 - even narrower than the problematic 5.00X19 Cokers and seeing these are also made by Coker, I'll wait till others have tried them. If the 5.50 tyres are good, that doesn't mean these will be.
The local Coker dealer is not known for follow up service or standing behind their tyres. It seems every time someone has a problem, it is because of under inflation no matter what the problrem. UGGHHH!
Call me a cynic but I'll have to be convinced before I spend over $300 on each tyre. A set of 4 with tubes would run to about $1,500 by the time exchange rate, freight etc are paid.

Radial tires require radial tubes, unless they are tubless tires.
Bert's sells radial tubes, best tubes you can buy.

Interesting that they look like they have the Universal tread design--hmmm.

I too would wait and let someone else try them out, knowing what we think we know about the difference between the performance of the 500R19 and 550R19

I believe a few FordBarn guys have had them on their cars. Joop I believe has a set.

They are pretty neat.

I just called coker to order a set of 19" WW radials. The rep told me they are NOT available and "might" be available next May. I said you have them on your website, and he said we put them out there just to see what the response is.

Tires 247 each
rim strips 2.49
radial tubes 26.95 metal or 14.95 rubber
shipping 114.65
5yr road side hazard against ww or puncture they pay for shipping both ways a new tire.

Does anyone know what sort of life you should get out of them from a mileage point of view? Has anyone done a calculation of mileage verses dollars between regular tires and radials?
