Correct seats?

What would be the correct front and rear seat for a 31 four door slant windshield? Think it's a 160b.

There was 4 different fabrics used on the 160-B, according to the RG&JS. 1. Brown Mohair 2. Brown Bedford Cloth 3. Tan Broadcloth 4. Brown Artificial Leather. The cushion and back rest were sewn in channels, as shown in the photos.

We just finished sewing the back seat in our 160-A with brown vinyl artificial leather). Note that the 160-A seats have fewer pleats than the 160-B or C.

I read this as frames and wood. Are you speaking of fabric?

Fabric is good too. But ya frames and wood.

Re: Correct seats?

The front metal frame and slides are specific to a slant
I think all the wood frames and springs are available from many vendors
Might check with Berts as the front seat metal is not reproduced

You caught us at a good time. We're just in the process of recovering the front seat on our 31 s/w fordor.
The wooden base is 39 1/2" wide at the rear and 37 1/2" wide at the front. 16 1/2" deep. There is a stepped edge around the outside where the seat fabric is tacked. Makes the finished seat bottom flush with the wood. The two large holes at the front are for mounting the seat with corresponding pegs in the seat slider. They are exactly 28" apart center to center.

I don’t have pics but....
No it’s not like standard. The metal base is different. It does have a metal barrel back.
The dimensions likely are diff but not sure

Front back rest spring measures 23" by 44", approximately. No wood.
Metal surround with slides.
If you are missing everything, and can't find an original front seat assembly, then i would suggest you find a front bench seat from any old car that will fit your s/w. Photos of what you do have would help us help you. Photos are of our 160-A. Sounds like you have a 160-B, with dome light in rear. Our dome light is mid ships, which makes it a 160-A, My guess is that Ford used the same seat frames in all the 160 series sedans. Fabrics varied, of course. Others may know more than I do about this.
