Dave,

If you can - drive or fly out and drive the car back.

If that is not possible - hire someone you can talk to directly on the phone who will be handling your car.

Pay no deposit up front - give no credit card number.

TrulyVintage, he's a member here. I doubt if it would happen next week though. Good Luck.

Thanks Paul .... :)

I do so much more than transport cars .... ;)

I travel the country making friends along the way - documenting & sharing
interesting places - collections - adventures in my travels thru images .... :D

Right now I am in the middle of a (5) car haul for a private collector
who has relocated from Napa, CA to Virginia City, NV.

This series of hauls takes scheduling & coordination between (2) tow companies because the vehicle(s)
are located in antique barns on (16) acres of Napa vineyards - access is limited at pick up ....

Virginia City, NV is a mountain ghost town - the drop off location is off a 15 %
mountain grade with tight turns ....

Vehicle #1 is a 1929 AA Truck John & his Dad restored in 1979.

Here it is being transferred to a rollback in Virginia City last week:

Vehicle #2 is a 1931 Desoto - it made the trip with a 1971 Honda 100:

Vehicle #3 is a 1959 MK1 Jaguar - here it is at pick up in Napa:

Miguel is posing with the antique fire cart in Napa at pickup where he had to maneuver his rollback thru the property covering (16) acres of vineyards to get to one of the antique barns where the car(s) are stored ...

The Jaguar was dropped off late Monday night along with
an antique fire cart & an antique coffee grinder in Virginia City, NV.

Jeff is standing by his rollback at drop off Monday night.
He brings up the mountain each evening from Carson City to Virginia City (where he lives).

Jeff backed up a 15% grade to get into John & Liz's shop - he is the most
talented rollback operator I have ever seen - at 34 he is far more experienced
than I will ever be ... ;)

In between trips I am getting to re-visit old friends in Reno - Carson City - Gardnerville that I have not seen in years ...
