hi again trying to salvage a canada 1930 rpu cab..any one have a count of how many were made>,,also did canada make any wide bed pick up in 1931??..thank you..charles..stay safe..

Is this 1930 Open Cab the 28-29 to mid 1930 body (76-A) or the later mid 1930 thru 1931 body (76-B)?

There are no known records for the 28-29 to mid 1930 bodies.

Canada produced 342 Open Cab bodies in 1930...those would of been the mid 1930-1931 bodies (76-B).

It is unknown just how many Open Cab bodies went to foriegn countries and those that stayed in Canada.

Some of the Open Cabs were also put on Model AA Truck chassis and that to is an unknown number.

Also it is unknown just how many became the Open Cab Pickup.

In 1930 Canada also produced 3001 Pickup Beds...this would of been the narrow 78-A bed.

In 1931 Canada produced 902 Open Cab bodies and 1809 Closed Cab bodies...Again, the data does not tell us of overseas shipments or just how many were assigened to A frames or AA frames.

As for the wide bed (78-B) which was in production from May thru December 1931 and into 1932 was: 1931---528 and 1932---110.

Again, not sure just how many stayed in Canada and those that went abroad.

So the bottom line is, is that there is no specific data on just how many were made.

That is a tough one but the data just may be found at the Ford Motor Company Archives and or the Benson Ford Archives in Dearborn.

hi thanks so much for this reply my 1930 rpu cab was bought from canada en has robertson screws on the sub-frame think passenger side is the stamp 9F716 and on cross channel a number or letter so im a gwessen this might be the 716 body of all body styles made at some plant in canada??..thanks again for your great research stay safe..charles..cant figure how to send photo of [email protected].
