Another spark plug question I know this has been talked about many times here. I did a search here all the way back to 2010 - 2016 about the right plugs for the right heat range but has anything changed since then? I am currently running Motorcraft TT10's and I think I want to bump it up a tad in the heat range per the way I drive my '30 Tudor. The plugs are always black but never fouled up with soot or anything but since I only drive locally at slower speeds and RPM's would a hotter plug clean up the plugs a little? If I do get new plugs I was thinking maybe Champion W18's. By the way I just changed my gap from .032 to .035. I think someone on here said that is acceptable. Tomorrow I will take it for a spin. Thanks, Jim

Re: Another spark plug question I also used the TT- 10, then switched to the hotter W-18. The TT-10 is too cold of a heat range.

Re: Another spark plug question Motorcraft TT 10 spark plugs were way too cold for my use . Champion W 18 spark plugs gave a noticable improvement in cranking and running for me .

Re: Another spark plug question Thanks for all the help guys. I did go to Napa today and get the last 4 Champion W18 plugs. I'll have to wait to take a drive when it is not raining. Does anyone know why when I click on a link all I get is a blank white page? Mike gave me a link to go to and there is nothing there. Maybe I don't have enough posts yet. Jim

Re: Another spark plug question Anyone ever used the Champion W20?

Re: Another spark plug question I have not used the Champion W20 but it will be hotter than the W18

Re: Another spark plug question Used champion W-18 for years without any problems, gap at .035

Re: Another spark plug question I also run a gap of .035 regardless

Re: Another spark plug question I run the w16y at 35 and have not had any issues

Re: Another spark plug question Try closing the GAV more
I used to play with different spark plugs, only putting the 3X plugs in for show---- then one time I forgot , it ran better, idled better, and got better fuel mileage, no problems idling over hours of parades, and just fine at 65, averaged over 35 years of use they are cheap |
