Model A Day
First Sunday in June
Every year on the first Sunday in June, the spirit of the 1920s and 1930s is brought to life in the small town of Sharon as Model A’s line the main street. People dressed as gangsters and flappers from the period promenade in front of the well preserved facades of local businesses, displaying architecture of a different time. With these historic buildings, the Model A’s and people in period attire look quite at home. Model A Day is one of several events put forth by Historic Downtown Sharon, LLC to bring to life the history that surrounds us and to get in touch with our past. The illusion of stepping back in time is aided by costumed residents of the town, time-period entertainments, and of course, those delicious foods we have been eating for as long as we can remember.

More than 200 Model A's are present and there is a nice swap meet area as well.

I go whenever I can,, always have a great time and have even bought some nice parts at the swap meet.

One of THE best Model a venues in the Midwest:) The town of Sharon has been spared the wrath of WalMart's and Sam Clubs which destroy the downtowns of small rural America, the buildings are really cool!

Well worth the price of admission oh wait, it's free that's better yet;)

Cheap entertainment as I would say and the Rock Ford A's really do a great job on this. Well worth going to it's pretty neat.

My family and I look forward to this every year! We have a GREAT time and the beautiful 70+ Mile round-trip drive in our A can’t be beat!

Thanks guys for the kind remarks. I would add that the Model A parts swap is still free to vendors. It's our way to say thanks for bringing the parts that keep our cars on the road, and the hobby alive. And thanks Dave Clark for posting the heads up on Sharon!!

I'm hoping to find a nice set of 21" tires there at the swap meet. If anyone is bringing a set of 4 and reads this please PM me in advance.

Jerry I hope you found your tires today. Lots of vendors with lots of Model A iron and parts showed up today. It was great weather and a big turn out.... Hope you and all attendees had an enjoyable day... I hope that we will be seeing some pics of today being shared on Ford Barn soon....

Model A Day in Sharon, WI this year had everything from Flapper Girls to a Model A Snowmobile conversion. Around 200 Model A's of all body types and states of restorations made it. Nice Swap area, entertainment, and great food. Lots of work was put in by the Village of Sharon, WI volunteers and the Rock-Ford A's Model A Club of Rockford, IL. Hope to see you all next year on the First Sunday in June 2019. Now please mark your calendar for June 2, 2019......
