1931 interior Good morning! I am installing a new interior on a mid 1931 STANDARD fordor sedan. The judging standards say the color for the inside window mouldings are maroon in color. My question is does anyone have the maroon color code or powder coat color code? Or mocha brown codes ?
Thank you, Mike |

I can't find ford maroon, but here is mocha brown.

Re: 1931 interior Thank you, I may use the brown instead of the maroon.

Re: 1931 interior Mike, there is a real paint chip example of the Maroon color in the Paint & Finish Guide.
https://mafca.com/cart/index.php?productID=129 You can take that to your paint or powder coat supplier and visually compare to their chips until you get a good match. Or have them scan and mix to match. |
Re: 1931 interior Thank you I have the paint and finish guide, I thought that was just for outside body colors.

No problem.

Re: 1931 interior Found a spray bomb can down at the local hardware store entitled "Mocha Expresso". It's a pleasing dark brownish color with a distinct maroon aspect. Looks okay to my old eyeballs. Of course this is no "show car" but simply a survivor jalopy for clattering around the neighborhood. Remember over the years seeing various original deluxe Model A Fords with the brown / maroon shades all sorts of tones probably due to both original application and discoloring over the decades.
