I built engine for a living for 50yr's, about every engine you can think of, but flatheads and Model A have always been my love. I've been retarded, awww, retired for 15yr's, now it's my hobby. Walt

Is there a reason the fan belt isn't on the right/passenger side water pump? Just curious.

The reason is the owner (me) is a big dummy and didnt bring all the parts! It's going in a '51 Tudor. Walt does a great job and is a pleasure to talk to. Between him and a couple of the "garage regulars" the stories never stop. Always a great time !!!!

Flatford8, What are the piston, and can I ask why you chose them. I intend to do one at 3 5/16". Just trying to get a good general picture of what works well. Cast compared to forged, and brand.
Walt, I am interested in your answer about the valves. Someone else asked in the thread about your other recent engine build.
Thanks to both of you.
Lynn.

The pistons are EGGE 3 ring cast. No need to spend all that money on forged pistons for a street engine. The valves are small block Chey exh. Seal Power. There again you can spend all kinds of money for fancy named valves and they won't run a bit better that the cheaper ones in a street flathead. Walt
