Hole Size & Location on 1931 Running Board Shield for a Well Fender Is there a template or information regarding the Hole Size & Location on a 1931 Running Board Shield for the Well Fender Arm to fit through?
Also, do you have any suggestions/advice from prior experience? The prior owner has had a well installed in the front fender, but the running board shield does not have a hole for the arm. Thank you. |
Re: Hole Size & Location on 1931 Running Board Shield for a Well Fender I have the instructions for making and using a locating tool for side mount holes in an album on my FordBarn page. Here is the link.

Re: Hole Size & Location on 1931 Running Board Shield for a Well Fender I remember reading that the hole locations for riveting the spare tire bracket on the frame are stamped on the frame. Take a close look. I may be more right than wrong

Minerva had NO side mounts, but a hole in the forward part of the running board shield had been welded SHUT! She was an Early '30 Std. Coupe. Bill Williamson |
Re: Hole Size & Location on 1931 Running Board Shield for a Well Fender Bill, key word is early 30 car. Keep the line moving.
I thought I saw a picture of the indents for locating the bracket on the frame. |
Re: Hole Size & Location on 1931 Running Board Shield for a Well Fender I have the hole in pass side shield but no well in the fender. Funny how parts get swapped around over the years. I would give you the hole as I don't need it, but not that easy. :)
