Condenser Help I can't remove the condenser. I removed the small tab screw holding the condenser in on the passenger side, then reached in and totally loosened the screw on the drivers side. It seems loose but will not pull out. Any ideas?

Re: Condenser Help Both screws need to come off. Use needle nose plier to grip and pull the inside screw if you have completely loosened it with a screwdriver.

Re: Condenser Help Someone may have left off the thick insulating washer and bottomed the screw out, or they may have done the same thing by using too long a screw. Now, when you try to unscrew it you are actually turning the terminal end of the condenser, but the screw isn't actually unscrewing. You might try pulling back on the ground strap while unscrewing the screw. Hopefully this will put enough friction on the terminal to hold it. Otherwise you might have to drill out the screw or the condenser rear so you can pull it out by removing the lower plate. I'd remove the distributor and go after the screw with a Dremel and carbide or diamond bit. That way you won't have to disturb the cam and plates.

Re: Condenser Help Thanks Tom. I guess I'll have to get the distributor on the bench and tear into it with whatever it takes.
