Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves Has anyone used Ford Racing Performance stainless steel valves, specifically M-6507-J302 (Intake) and M-6505-G302 (Exhaust)? Both have 11/32 stems and OAL 5.075. Intakes are 1.94/Exhaust 1.54. I read that they, like many/most others, are made in Argentina.

Re: Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves To start with they are longer than the much used longer than stock chevy valves and 1.94 intakes sounds too big to make any sense. (that is if you are talking about flatheads)

Re: Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves I mistakenly posted in wrong forum, as noted. The valves are intended for a Y-block. OAL of OEM Y-block valves are 5.09.

Re: Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves To answer your question, not I.
Flathead RACING valves most commonly have 5/16 or 7mm stems and are made from titanium. Street valves can be any thing. If you put 1.8 in the ex. and 1.6 in the intake, you will go much faster. I used stainless valves many years ago and they were from John Deere. They had chrome stems for long wear, plenty of stem length for adjusting spring height and big enough heads that could be machined to any size. The valves you list will make the wheels go around but you will be at the rear of the B main. |
Re: Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves Ok. scratch what I said.

Re: Ford Racing Performance Stainless Steel Valves We use Chevy valves in our rebuilds Easy to obtain, good quality, and usually less costly.
