Update on Hydraulic brake pull to left

I ordered new hoses for the front brakes. The rear brakes are all steel lines no hoses. I did some more tests.

I adjusted the cams on the front left brake. I opened them up all the way. That did help when I first applied the brakes but not after the first application.

I took out the return spring on the left side brake and used safety wire to wire the shoes together so they could not engage. The car pulled slightly to the right but had much less stopping power.

The hoes will come next week. I will update when I have installed them.

Any contamination can cause a shoe to grab, even oils from your skin. Use some Brake-Clean on the shoes before replacing the drum.

There should be one hose for the rears up near the front of the driveshaft.

Hoses have been known [ well know for old hoses] to collapse. They'll look good on the outside.
