Rear bumper arms

Are there differences in the lengths of the rear bumper arms? The right one looks shorter on my '30.
Thanks
Dick

1931 Town Sedans have rear bumpers with a sharper curvature. Otherwise the bars are all the same. There are differences in the lengths of the bumper arms.

If you can access there’s a complete detail of all models on Marcos barnyard.

I scoured Marco's Barnyard site and could not find any reference to rear bumper bracket dimensions. Jim Schild's Model A Shop Manual mentions that the Ford Chassis Parts Price List shows "at least seven different rear bumper bracket assemblies" and has a graphic detailing the differences between 28-29 versus 30-31 as well as the specifics for coupes and roadsters versus Tudors and Fordors. This would be helpful when searching for replacement brackets at a swap meet as they all look similar. I see that Bratton's lists only three different bracket assemblies and three different types of cross sill body to bracket types.

Here's Marco's info.

Can't get it any bigger because the image is quite a bit taller than
it is wide and it seems the forum software downsizes quite a bit in
that situation. If you can't make it out I can re-post as 2 images.

Believe this is a copy from an original Ford source to which Marco Tahtarus has added edits in Red. Note at bottom that some models appear to be missing. What this mostly shows is that the position of the brace running from the rear body subframe crossmember to the main bumper arm varies significantly between models and is the main thing to look for when trying to identify.

So is the overall length the same? On my '30 Victoria the right side is much closer to the rear fender.

The overall length can vary by up to 3 inches between all the various assemblies. I'll bet that many have ended up with different lengths after buying rear brackets singly without being alert to this factor.
