What OHV Head Is This?

4 Attachment(s)
Can anyone tell what kind of OHV head this is just by looking at the picture? If you can tell just by looking what are the characteristics that tell you what kind it is? I've been told it is an original Miller. This is all I have, I don't know of any markings on it and I've never seen it in person.

Thanks

Looks like a cast iron Miller, maybe a Denver?

Miller, not the very first style which was called the slope-sided Miller but not likely the later ones that became Cragar. Could be a Denver Miller, what if any, casting marks are on the left side of the head and what is on the valve cover?

Looks like a Miller.
interesting setup, the motor looks like it is pulled forward to clear junction box on firewall.

Numbers on the head, on the drivers side are;
A square with an A in it -----50079-E-----NI-OH or NI-CH

That 'capitol' A (at the left front corner...on top surface outside of cover, would make this a CRAGAR OHV head. Cragar (CRAney Gar) was the guy who acquired this head from Schofield (who made Schofield OHV head with Miller).
The A was added for purpose of distinguishing Cragar's head from Schofield's head (no A). Legal mumbo jumbo , I guess.

My original Schofield has no A on it.

The Schofield / Miller OHV head came after MILLER made the original 'slope side' OHV Miller head , as stated by Jim B !
When Schofield got involved, he 'squared' off the slope side to add water cooling capacity and that became the norm thereafter.

note:
It's quite possible that the 'rocker box' cover has no words/markings on it, as there was a LOT of iterations/copies that it went thru each time patterns change hands.
