31 wide bed cab
 

Several of us are trying to become more educated about what a 31 wide bed cab should look like inside. What we are particularly interested in are photos of the rear window inside and the inside of the roof of both a Budd cab and one with the soft top patch. I would certainly appreciate it if some of you with a 31 wide bed would shoot some photos and post them here on fordbarn.

Check out this one on eBay, lots of pictures, maybe some will be of use to you.

This one has the soft top, but has the flat firewall. Whether the truck has a narrow or wide bed really has no bearing on the cab.

'31 pickups were quite a "mongrel", in that they could have:
Firewall: Flat or indented
Top: Fabric or steel
Bed: Narrow or wide

And any combination of the above.

Mine has the indented firewall, steel top, and narrow bed. All within our small club there are several other combinations.

Hang tight because I have 38 pictures to add, so I'll have to post about 5 replies. These are of a club members nice original 31 widebed. Jim did replace the top fabric and the side panels, the rest of the pickup is all nice original.

As stated above, all wide-bed trucks are not the same. Even the floor of the beds can be different.
