How did you do the link cords on your LED's??
 

I just started switching over to high bay LED's and was wondering what or how you "tiddied" up the link cords to eliminate the "saggy" cords??? A little "before" & "After"........suggestions?????

Could you tidy it up by running the cords through PVC pipe?

I just doubled them back on themselves and wrapped with a couple small tie wraps; but I also was able to clamp the bundle to my sheet rock ceiling.

I thought about that BUT wondered IF the "excess" being "bunched up" somewhere along the length "might" cause an issue......currently that's my first approach to test out tonight. My other thought IS I hate to have the weight of the PVC resting on the "plug" ins as they are not the beefy-ist of connections and not sure how to secure it to the light housing???? Thought I might "cast it out" here on the barn and "see if" there were any other "clever" solutions. Thanks 19Fordy!!!!

Red colored fuel hose?

Sorry about that. But I'm trying to think of some lightweight tubing that is basically a scaled-up drinking straw but long and stiff enough to span the gap. Even something like that might be junk after several years.

The "other" issue I just thought of with PVC IS "IF" you cut it tight against the housings of each light then how???? do you plug in the cord at one end???? SO it "HAS" to be short enough to be able to plug both ends in!!!! THUS more weight resting on the plugs!!!

It looks like your lights are hanging from chains. If so, measure the correct distance to cut the PVC, then just push the lights apart to insert the plug. The only problem is cramming the extra cord in the pipe.

One safety issue, need eye protection for the dog. Sunglasses.

we are in the process of putting led's in a spray booth, I am worried that if we use two per bay ( 2 x 4") it will be too bright!

Thats exactly what I did in my shop also the garage at home and all the basement lights converted everything to LEDs amazing improvement. Also a decent savings on the electric bills another benefit.

Thanks cmbrucew for the compliment on the shop.....Still getting a little of the old junk from the last owners cleared out and still working on how I want it set up before a "few" more V8's arrive. "Oliver" is one of two "Shop Dogs" if you will BUT not sure "Momma" will let them stay out in the shop long before she calls them back in for their daily pampering and A/C as its been in the 80's the past several days and a few more to come!!!
