Anyone recommend a epoxy or glue to repair a plastic gas tank? Thanks

I believe JB makes an epoxy for plastics.

I havent had good lock repairing plastic gas tanks with epoxy. The parts houses such as Napa and others have products but for me they didn't last. I have, however, had good results with using donor plastic and a good soldering iron and welding the plastic. Take your time and mix the molten plastic well, especially at the edges, and you can make a nice weld that is strong.

I have had good luck doing what eagle recommended. On a chain saw it was either weld the plastic or throw the chain saw out as the tank was part of the frame.

Do y’all use a soldering iron that you heat over a fire or a electric one.

Harbor Freight has an inexpensive plastic welder. It is like a soldering iron, but has a nice wide foot. I have had a lot of success with mine.
