Judging Standards on Digital Media? I would love to have a copy of the Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards on my phone.
Does anyone know if they have been digitized for purchase as a download? I have ONE TERABYTE of memory on my phone which can hold it quite easily. Thanks |
Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media? Not at the moment at least. This has been discussed before on here and many have different takes on the subject.

Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media? IMO
If it was digitized, it would be easy to copy, no one would buy the hardcopies, and there would be loss of revenue for the development, printing, and up keep of the standards. |
Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media? Nope. As stated lot of time and money went into producing them. Once out there, they would be copied and investment/incentive would be lost.

Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media? A scanner and the right software and you can do it yourself.
I have a digital copy on my laptop, cellphone, and ipad. Walking a swap meet I need to only pull out one of them and can do a quick search to find what I need. -Tim |
Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media? I believe there are ways for an author to protect their work and still publish it in digital form. However, it would not be in the form of simply a copy-able pdf file that can be copied far and wide. The author/publisher would have to create the firewall ihn the form of an app, and digitally grant rights to release the content to those autho.
I also took the time to copy my owned hard copy in OCR, but that copy will never be Shared because i have no permission or rights of ownership allowing me to do so. The owners of the goods would need to initiate a way to didtritbute the file to those authorized. |
