Newbie help question on doors 4 Attachment(s)
I’m new😀 and was recommended from another site. Been an admirer of T’s, both rod and original and always hoped to have one. While not actively searching, as money and happenstance allowed, I’ve been “collecting “ parts ( wife thinks I’m nutz lol). So, I came across a set of doors that I couldn’t pass up: Rot and rust free, back doors complete with glass, and I believed to be 26-27, Fordor.
The more I researched, the more confused I got. All three doors are all metal and measure @ 24 1/2 across belt and @ 47” tall. I’ve gotten opinions on pre-25, post-25, etc. So, just looking for more opinions on what these are and maybe learn something new. Thanks! |
Re: Newbie help question on doors Sorry, don’t know why pics are sideways

Re: Newbie help question on doors Looks like Model T Fordor sedan rear doors to me. I am not sure if the 1923-25 doors are different than the 1926-27 doors.

Re: Newbie help question on doors That’s what I think, but, some say they should have wood, some say no wood..... and I am getting all kind of different answers for #9. But I think that’s a 26-27 pass front door as well as it’s only 24 1/2” wide

Well, I just found this for the front door: looks like 24-25, so I don’t know

Re: Newbie help question on doors Next question, what is the difference between 25 and 26-27 all steel Fordor doors ( if any)?

Re: Newbie help question on doors I would give Lang's a call in the A.M., Steve is great for tech support questions. They will "steer" you in the right direction:D

Re: Newbie help question on doors I don't know if there is a difference. Henry made sure that his cars had interchangeable parts for a many years to cut production costs and manufacturing time.
And maybe the listing for th 24-25 door is wrong. I do know that the earlier doors were a bit taller then the later model t doors. Look at the cars of the year and you'll see that the cars were taller. |
