Roaster Pickup 1928

Hi Sirs,
I restarted my 28 Roaster Pickup restoration and I have a doubt.
Which kind of rear bumpers this model has ?
A photo would help me a lot.
Thanks in advance for your comments and advices.

Most pickups had NO rear bumper.

Check out https://mafca.com/data_bodycodes_a.html which give reference to pix of the various truck styles.

Many enthusiasts have added them - possibly to not run afoul of local registration rules or perhaps they had the support frame available?

(IMHO, the support frame and bumper looks "odd" in this application. The bed standing as it does on wood supports allows one to see the interval between the bottom of the bed and the top of the support frame. Some have utilized this space and the frame to support a "custom tool box" and thereby close the gap - which seems like a sensible modification/addition. Sort of gives "reason for being."

Like Joe said they never came with a bumper.
