Largest Size Tires? What are the largest size of available 19 and 21 inch tires that will fit onto a Model "A" Ford wheels?
In my opinion, a tire with a larger sidewall and larger tread will give a smoother ride. However, a big tire could rub into the front brake rods. |

Re: Largest Size Tires? One of the guys in our club is running 650R19's. I personally wouldn't go that big. Mine are 550R19's

Re: Largest Size Tires? Not an answer to your question but I usually plan to let the air out and carry a pump if I want large tires.

Re: Largest Size Tires? 5.25X21 tyres greatly improve the manners of a 28/29 Model A. 5.50X19 likewise for the later cars though not as marked as the first case. These are not the largest tyres you can put on but "more is not always better". They are a big improvement without looking out of place, IMO.
