My temp Gauge goes to hot Now?

I have a heat gun with Laser and the engine is not hot 160 so the Temperature sender is no good. I think it repo which I heard is junk. Have any of you Fellow's had any trouble with them? Might put a Oil Pressure and Temp gauge bottom of the dash.

Some of the 'new replacement' style Temperature sensors may operate backwards for some reason???
And some that are labeled as NOS for '57 may actually be a later version that does the same.
You can't win some days :(

I intend to supplement my original 55 Tbird gauges with quality electric oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage gauges, mounted under the dash. After spending thousands to rebuild the engine, I don't want to leave it to chance.

Because of incompatible sender vs gauge problem, CASCO (and I imagine other suppliers) have a matched gauge and sender set. I hear it works good.
