Thanks, sure is a lot of work. Should be worth it in the end?

It will Definately be worth it in the end, in fact it is still worth it half way through. Having a project, and a '40 ford PU at that, keeps us alive and focused. I'm sure I speak for some others here when I admit I seem to enjoy building them even more than driving them.

FordyG,
Ok Love the 40 Ford trucks too. Yours looks like its going to be a tire burner for sure! Henry would be happy!
Couple comments:
6 years. Yea I have heard on average it takes 7 years to do a project like yours. Your right on track!
Second, Only 8 posts? Well you have been spending more quality time on your truck than on here. Unlike some other new folks (me!:)) We need more pictures.
Third, How do you like that lift. I have debated about a 2 post or a drive on 4 post?
Fourth: Is It going to be red?
Regards,
Chris

Just trying to build it one time so not in a huge hurry, day job takes up most my time, Truck is at my brothers shop, he has the equipment and more experience with this stuff so he has been a huge help. He has both a 2 post and 4 post lift, I assume he likes them, they sure are nice to have. I believe I am going for a midnight purple on the color. End result it will look like just a regular ole 40 pickup but it isn't underneath.

Yea, 6 years on mine.....don't have a wife to spend money on jewelry so that money went into the '41 pickup.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Truck looks good, I am in the same boat, childfree with an ex wife so truck building it is. :D

Did I mention this is and will be a 100% family build? We have done everything so far outside of I bought the engine from a friend (still need to change cam out) and I had a transmission guy build the transmission. Chassis, paint, upholstery, all of it.. My biggest inspiration is my fathers 40 Ford coupe, we have had it since 1964 along with my uncles 40 Ford coupe.

Also I forgot this forum only deals with the stock trucks, I removed a bunch of pics...

We are hot rod home builders over stock restoration.

Here is a picture of my dads 40 coupe in 1964 instead.
