Update from the Ace Mechanic So friends have come to the conclusion that the solenoid is trash. When out on the bench and 6V power is applied to it the plunger just oscillates in and out. I an told it should snap in and stay there, so at this point I am going to send it to Tom Endy, if he will have it. Anyone near Danville, Ca selling one?
Thanks to all who helped. |

Re: Update from the Ace Mechanic Did you use a good battery and heavy wire to test the solenoid? It take quite a bit
of current to pull the solenoid in then the holding windings take over. Have you seen the BW manual Tom Endy posted? http://www.santaanitaas.org/wp-conte...ner-manual.pdf |

Re: Update from the Ace Mechanic I am no BW expert but is it possible that the solenoid is 12 volts not 6?
