windshield seal on a 46
 

hey guys and girls,i am looking to purchace a windshield seal for my 46 merc with trim and looking at mac's it shows one with a price of $65.00. has anyone ever used this seal and it worth the price ? any other options? thank you

I usually use the seals from Drake. Don't know who supplies Mac's. The Merc and Ford use the same seal.

I went with Dennis Carpenter for mine. No complaints.

While you are on the subject, there is a complete description, with illustrations on how to install '41 thru '48 Ford windshield's on the Van Pelt website. I found it to be helpful.

Mac's might be Vintigue.If so you will struggle as they are stiff- from my experience.

Be sure to get the correct seal for whether or not you have the center trim piece.

Carpenter has been my go to for rubber products ( for old Fords). Quality is good.
