Put them best where you foot lands getting in and out. I have them centered between the apron and edge of running board on my 31 Pickup.

Re: step plate location my favorite location is: hanging on the garage wall......

Re: step plate location I agree !!!

Re: step plate location Look for the wear spot on your running board, that's where they go
|
Re: step plate location No harm meant for anyone that likes step plates . I would rather have the worn spot .
|
Re: step plate location They are not only a step plate, but a scuff guard to keep you from kicking the splash apron and scratching the paint.

Re: step plate location My 30 Tudor came with step plates. They are located 10 1/4 inch back from front edge of rubber trim and the bottom of the plate is 3/4 of an inch from the outside edge of the running board. Chap

Re: step plate location On my 29ccpu I put them on top of the running board worn spot.

Re: step plate location Chief, my Dad, put them backwards, for MUD scrapers!
