Generator With a Small Pulley

Here is the generator I bought yesterday at the swap meet. It has a 2 1/2" pulley instead of the standard 3 3/4" pulley, so it will spin 50% faster.
I wonder if it was used on some special machine, or maybe like my late uncle, (a very slow driver) wanted to keep his lights and battery working at idle.

It would sure make slipping the belt on easy.:D

Re: Generator With a Small Pulley

The Model B pulley was smaller than the Model A pulley but definitely not as small as yours. You have to use a tape measure to tell the difference between a Model A and a Model B pulley.

Benson! Are there STILL dog catcher trucks? or was that in the "OLD" days when there was a milk man & an ice man? Bill has a pic of an ooold train with a "COW" catcher, but I think that's sumptin' different. If some "dog catcher" (If they exist) got me, ooold Bill would "catch" him & run him over & over. (I saw Bill MAD once!!!:eek::eek:) Buster T.
