Re: License Plates restored 1 Attachment(s)
I have, and have seen some really nice original plates. When I went to register my 61 Comet with YOM plates, the girl at the lic office didn’t even know it was legal to do so, took a call to her supervisor to educate her.
The metal tag updating the plate from 1960 really stumped her;) |

Re: License Plates restored i tried to do it once, failed. i tried to use every kind of roller i could find, and even made one from a tp tube, and i could not duplicate the way the original paint sort of flows over the edge of the number just a tad. i just used automotive enamel paint, but could not get it to look real. finally did it by hand with a brush, and... well lets just say i am not an artist
