Curious, Does the speedometer bolt into the dash ?
I see It is rotated wrong in the hole... . |
Re: Mystery part The sheet metal looks like 1935-36 pickup.

Re: Mystery part IS it me OR does the arch of the top of the dash piece looks like it was a Right Hand Drive dash???? NOT that familiar with truck dashed BUT.....??? PLUS the angled right lower end of it???

Re: Mystery part Quote:
Well, going by this full dash picture and noting the upward curve of bottom of dash toward the center of such, the piece in question is probably not RHD. Interestingly, the second picture shows the long-lost, red-headed step-brother to the original subject part in bottom pic. Re: Mystery part the scalloped part that attaches to the windshield opening appears to me to be heading downward in the OP post while it is heading upward on the blue part shown by COOPMAN. Sometimes photographs are deceiving, though.

Could you please elaborate? I'm not understanding! DD |

Re: Mystery part Quote:
NOW I understand what you were getting at. The detail you speak of is hard for me to be sure about because the ORIGINAL piece in this thread is posed at an angle, making it sorta hard to compare. I was going by the upward sweep at the bottom/right of both pieces which I thought seemed to match the raised portion toward lower/center of the full dash pictured. DD |
Re: Mystery part That is probably the better indicator
|
Re: Mystery part And maybe the speedo being tilted is creating an illusion, making other parts seem to be more or less sloped. I’m going to try and clean it up and straighten the Speedo and take a better more straight on photo.

Re: Mystery part Quote:
At this point, does it really matter whether it's LHD or RHD? It's obviously out of a '36-ish Ford truck. DD https://images.fineartamerica.com/im...-nick-gray.jpg |
