Windshield wiper vacuum New here, great site with lots of information, my first question. I have a ECZ 9425 B intake with Autolite 4100, the valley pan had the rear draft setup on it and I put a PCV valve in it and ran it to a spacer under the Carb. I am currently using the port at the rear of the intake as my source for the windshield wiper vacuum. It is routed through the double action fuel pump. My question, is this the best source for the wiper vacuum? Thanks guys!

Re: Windshield wiper vacuum If the wipers work, its a good source.

Re: Windshield wiper vacuum The wipers only use a 1/8" vacuum pipe feed. I doubt it would cause a problem. The way you have it set up is how it is from factory.

Re: Windshield wiper vacuum My 57 had the wiper vac there as well as a vac for the carb, and it was fine.

Re: Windshield wiper vacuum Let me recommend a guy who is not only SUPER knowledgeable about ALL wiper motors and has parts to fix them...he is just a terrific guy who will sit and give you the benefit of his years in this hobby. He has no email address so you have to call him:

Re: Windshield wiper vacuum A good wiper motor takes very little vacuum to run. I had a really hot 312 in the 55, it had trouble making 11 inches of vacuum. The wipers run OK on that except in mountain driving. If you have wet streets, you should be easier on the gas anyway.
